Why Banks Need To Start Feeding Our Egos Or Else…
Not everyone likes Banks… cough 2008 cough cough.
But most accept their existence and appreciate them for easing access to credit and helping store wealth.
Banks, like a cheating partner who is begrudgingly forgiven, would be wise to tread carefully when communicating with others.
Considering the massive backlash that hit banks post 2008 you would imagine they would be spending billions on achieving the best customer service, if anything they should be bending over backward to accommodate their clients and making them feel like royalty in the process!
You can probably understand my dismay when I heard of my client’s recent experience with a popular high street bank.
The story begins one bright August morning deep in the south of England. Bang on 13:00 the little red postal van stops by to deliver a crisp white envelope addressed to the CEO of a small family business.
Moments later the office erupts into confusion…
“They are threatening to close my account” the visibly tired CEO exclaims to their now perplexed staff.
Why would a popular high street bank threaten to close the account of a small family business?
